Watermelon Popsicle Craft for Kids

Looking for an amazing craft for this summer? You’re in luck! We have made a colorful watermelon popsicle craft to enjoy your summertime with your kid. Follow the instructions below to make this craft.

Watermelon is a favorite summer fruit for most of us. It is made of 92% water and hence its name, Watermelon. Did you know it is a fruit and a vegetable? Watermelons usually have red flesh, but some watermelons have white, yellow, orange, or even green flesh.

This craft requires basic supplies such as colored construction paper, scissors, regular glue or a glue stick, a black marker pen, and a pair of popsicles. Let’s gather those supplies and start working on this juicy craft.

Keep scrolling and then add it to your summer Craft activity plans! Don’t forget to share your creation on Instagram or Facebook with us. I would be happy to see how your creations have come out.

Watermelon Craft for Kids

Supplies required:

  • Red-Colored construction paper
  • Two different shades of green colored paper strips
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker pen
  • A pair of Popsicles

How to make the Watermelon Popsicle craft for Kids:

Gather all the materials and keep them ready. You can take yellow, orange, or even green-colored construction paper for this craft. I have picked red colored construction paper as I like this way.

Take a square red-colored construction paper of size 14cm by 14cm. Glue the green-colored construction paper strip of length 14cm by 1cm to both ends of the red-colored construction paper. Repeat the same for the light green colored construction paper strip of length 14cm by 1cm.

Draw the seeds using the black marker pen onto the body of red-colored construction paper.

Now, fold the red-colored construction paper in accordion style.

Fold it into half, and glue them. Repeat the same with the other red-colored construction paper. Join both of them.

Glue the popsicles to both ends of the papers.

Join the popsicle to form the watermelon.

Your Watermelon craft is ready!
